Production AI engineering, systems operations

Builds and operates AI-enabled systems end to end: backend services, data pipelines, retrieval and embedding infrastructure, agent and tool integrations, structured LLM outputs, cloud deployments, observability, monitoring, and automated recovery.

A decade in marketing, data analytics, and creative strategy

Commercial judgment for how merchants position products, acquire customers, protect brand trust, and convert demand. Sartorial is technical systems built with an operator’s understanding of how commerce decisions are made, measured, and improved.

Origin story · 2020

Sumit used Python in 2020 to build bots that beat scalpers at their own game and buy an Xbox and PlayStation at retail price. That was the beginning of his journey into machine learning, natural language processing, and eventually a full-stack AI-engineering skillset.

He relishes the irony that while in 2020 ecommerce websites had anti-bot protections, in 2026 he’s building a company for an ecosystem that’s thrown open the doors for those same bots.

Stella Xiao

CMO, COO

Growth marketer and Shopify operator

Scales go-to-market engines from the ground up. As the first U.S. marketing hire at Orbbec, she built the entire demand-generation infrastructure from scratch while managing their Shopify storefront end-to-end: storefront build, frontend optimization, supply-chain coordination, conversion funnel, and data tracking. By pairing technical automation and CRM attribution with hands-on front-end work and supply-chain coordination, she drove a 32% QoQ lift in marketing-sourced pipeline and cut CPL by 73.7%.

0→1 GTM across hardware tech and B2B SaaS

Diagnoses and solves fundamental growth bottlenecks across diverse industries. At Sartorial, she bridges deep merchant empathy with operational realism—bringing a firsthand understanding of how brands build customer trust, and exactly where today’s AI agents fall short when navigating a commerce catalog.
